I'm a therapist. He's an engineer. Now we have a baby boy. Follow along as we take on the adventures life has in store!
We purchased our first home in August 2009, got engaged a month later and were married a year after that. Between planning a wedding and renovating up a storm, traveling, sight-seeing, and taking on new jobs, it's been non-stop since we met.
As a pair of newlyweds with as many similarities as differences, it's fantastic that somehow we manage to make a great team.
I’m the “yes!” and he’s the “…maybe?”. I’m sleepy on Sunday mornings and he’s wide awake ready to make plans. I could spend an afternoon sipping a latte and reading US Weekly at Starbucks, and he hates coffee (but he’d still join me). I’m sushi and martinis, he’s burgers and dive bars. He’s Midwest, I’m East Coast. He’s reduce and reuse, I’m recycle (seriously).
There's always something new going on around here - let's do this!
Do you have a home project that you would like to see featured on The Fix-Its? How about stories and tips about life, interior design, and cool DIY projects? Well, we're always looking for cool stuff to show our readers! When sending us your submission, include up to eight photos along with a brief description and important details (the name you want to be known as in the article, paint colors, materials, budget, etc.)
Please email your submissions to thefixitsblog@gmail.com. By sending us your submission, you are giving us permission to post it on the blog unless otherwise stated in your email. Don't worry, we won't post your email address or any personal information without permission.
