1. Once upon a time (OMG - in August!) I talked about repainting our Master Bedroom. Mr. Fix-It wasn't entirely sold on the idea. I must have the patience of a saint because it's only taken 6 months for him to come around. We've bought paint and everything! It's really happening!
In case you forgot, here's the look we're going for:
2. We celebrated a belated Valentine's Day this weekend. Mr. Fix-It has class on Tuesday nights, and I work late. We decided it made the most sense to celebrate a little late. Plus, we were anticipating a few things falling into place, so we wanted to have an extra fun celebration.
We went to a restaurant in Bucktown called Antico. It was DELISH. I mean, so good that Mr. Fix-It dropped a homemade gnocchi on the floor and contemplated eating it regardless of the dust. It's a a great spot if you need a yummy meal in Chicago.
3. A little while ago I came across a candle upcycling tutorial on Pinterest.
I had an awesome candle that burned unevenly that I didn't want to throw away. It worked great!
4. I'm still LOVING taking maternity/newborn/family photos. I have 3 sessions lined up in the next few weeks. I'm so excited!
5. I feel like I've neglected to share an important piece of our life with you. Mr. Fix-It and I have a pet. It's a shame that she's never made it to the blog, really. We have an African Dwarf frog named Libby. She lives on our kitchen counter and we stare at her while we prepare meals. It's actually kind of amazing how interactive she is for a little aquatic creature. I'll share a picture of her sometime (she's hard to photograph). She had been living in a standard fish tank for a while, but I recently decided it was time to update her digs. How cute is this little modern tank?

I can't wait to see the master bedroom once it's painted! Paint can make such a HUGE difference! Also, I'm obsessed with that fish tank and have contemplated buying a fish just so I could have it in my house!
ReplyDeleteThat inspiration photo is stunning! I can't wait to see the final results!
