Mr. Fix-It and I returned from our Thanksgiving travel earrrrrrly yesterday morning and headed straight to work. No time for a Miscellaneous Monday post! Accept my apologies, and just think: this post says Monday, but you're really far into your Tuesday already. Yay!
1. Thanksgiving was great. I'll do a proper recap once I've got my photos organized. For now, just know that I got in LOTS of amazing, cuddly, baby cuteness time!

Why, yes, that is a photo of my dSLR view finder taken with my iPhone. Quality, friends.
2. I NEED to discuss this with people: I've noticed a trend in the Midwest that, frankly, makes me NUTS. People say "come with". Like, "I'm going to Target, want to come with?"
ACK! I haaaaaate this! It's not grammatical, and I hear it all the damn time. I'm blatantly obnoxious and say things like, "Oh, you want to know if I want to come with you?" What is wrong with you people - are you too lazy to finish the sentence?! Someone save me from this slow torture. (Oh! And Mr. Fix-It is a major offender of "come with". I LIVE with this!!!)
3. It's Christmas Card time! I'm super jazzed about it this year. Usually, I order through TinyPrints. I ADORE them, but admittedly we drop a lot of cash on the operation. This year I decided to design our own and print them through UPrinting. What a DEAL! 100 cards for $37 - shipped. I feel so proud. Our stamps cost more than the cards.
4. I'm making a 30 before 30 list. I don't know exactly what prompted this mission seeing as I have a little over 4 months before I turn 30, but let's go with it. I think I've accomplished a lot this year, but I'd like to cross off a few more things before the big 3-0. If you have a 30 before 30 or 101 in 1001 list, link it in the comments section! I'd love to read it!
5. I have a few things I need to sell on eBay. I usually have ridiculously awesome luck, but I'm also intrigued by the idea of a blog sale. Tell me your thoughts! Would you ever buy a lightly used Tory Burch purse off of a blog you read? (hint, hint)
6. Last, put my sweet sister in your thoughts. She's had some medical stuff happen that landed her in the ICU last night. I believe she'll be just fine, but I'm her big sister and I just can't help but worry.
What's new with you?

Best wishes to your sister. I hope she gets out of the hospital and better soon.
ReplyDeleteThinking of your sister today!! And yes, I'd go for a blog sale. And it's only halfway completed but here's my 30before30 list - http://worriesandwisdom.wordpress.com/30-before-30/

Thinking of your sister! I grew up with a friend who always said "come with" and it always drove me batty! Glad I'm not the only one! :)

ReplyDeleteSending good vibes for your sister!
ReplyDeleteI just got my Christmas cards in the mail as well, and I am SO excited to send them out this year! I hadn't heard of Uprinting, but it looks like they have great deals-- I'll have to keep that in mind for next year.
Looking forward to your 30 by 30 list. My 101 in 1001 list is here: http://squirrelsandpearls.wordpress.com/101-in-1001/
Thinking of your sister -- sending lots of positive thoughts!
ReplyDelete"Come with" reminds me of Clueless. That was one of those random things they said in the movie, so naturally everyone I knew repeated it!
Lots of love to sweet Julia!! Thinking of her everyday :).
ReplyDeleteYes to the blog sale! We should get working on that before Christmas!
