Perfect Summer Nights

I am in total denial about summer coming to an end. As far as I'm concerned, summer days roll well into October and one day you happen to notice your flip-flops have slowly make their way to the back of the closet. But alas, I made an appointment with a client for late this week and realized it was in September. Impossible.

A few weeks ago, I mentioned to Mr. Fix-It a few things I wanted to squeeze in before summer came to an end. On that list was Ravinia. If you're not a Chicagoan, it's an outdoor concert venue where you bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, wine, food, and enjoy music under the stars. There's really not a more perfect way to spend a summer night.

What are you squeezing in before summer comes to an end?

  1. Such a fun event! And what a perfect way to end the summer. I am planning to squeeze in a camping trip before summer officially ends :)

  2. That looks like fun! We have something similar here in Philly that I've wanted to go to one last time before we leave-this was a good reminder!

  3. We're squeezing in a trip to a friend's river cabin this weekend but I am SO ready for summer to end I cannot WAIT for September and October. Maybe it is because it's been over 100 here for 80+ days..

  4. How jealous am I that you all can wearing long-ish sleeves? I don't think summer will be ending here anytime soon, with the heat the way that it is.

  5. It looks like you had a great time! I'm with you on squeezing every last bit out of summer - I love fall and am excited for the cooler temps, but I also know that after fall comes winter...which I hate! I'd be happy in flip flops year 'round, but that's not really an option here!
