The Fix-Its: Rewind

Back in the days before we were blogging, Mr. Fix-It and I did an unbelievable number of home improvement projects. In fact, since timing is everything, we recently realized we've done everything completely backwards. Currently, we're doing our most consistent amount of blogging and almost no home improvement projects. For a blog about home improvement, we really got it all wrong.

Over the weekend we made a funny discovery. This photo:


This was taken six days after purchasing our condo. SIX DAYS! We were crazy people. Forget unpacking and getting settled, we tore the place apart.

What are you looking at exactly? Let's take a closer look:

 

1. A removed, rewired, and soon-to-be relocated ceiling fixture.
2. A gutted firebox structure.
3. New wall paint!
4. First stages of repainting kitchen cabinet doors.

We were like tazmanian devils in there, and literally made ourselves nuts. Hindsight aside, this post does have a point: We're going to start a new series: The Fix-Its: Rewind. Mr. Fix-It and I are going to sort through our previous home improvement projects and share exactly how we got to where we are now. We've learned a ton of lessons, and have lots of pointers on things we got right and things we wish we knew. Plus, now that we've lived in our condo for two years it's time to think about changing things up again! Don't get too excited, but I'm getting antsy to raise some dust around here.

  2. So fun, your condo is beautiful. I did it backwards too, we bought our house well over a year ago and did a lot of projects, but just recently started to blog about it.
