Fellow bloggers: does it drive you nuts that your photo only shows up when you comment on certain websites? For a while I was. I knew part of the reason was because I had a blogger account and not wordpress. When I'd leave a comment on a wordpress blog my face was represented by a not awesome patchwork icon.

{You are not my friend}

Frustrated, I knew there had to be a solution. Enter gravatar. You make an account, upload a photo, and then your gravatar follows you where ever you go online.

See? Comment on a wordpress blog:
Comment on a blogger blog:

Go get your gravatar now and say NO to ugly patchwork!

You're welcome.

  2. Teehee, I recognize that Wordpress comment! ;) I do have a gravatar, but somehow it never seems to come up on Blogger sites? You've inspired me to dig around a bit and see if I can fix that...

  3. @ notesfromthebench: Boo about the blogger thing! Do you have a gmail account? I'm pretty sure there's a way to set a gravatar-type thing through google too.

  5. I'm also a wordpress person and my photo won't show up using gravatar on blogger. I created a google profile that goes to my wordpress instead.
